January is School Board Appreciation Month

Did you know that January is School Board Appreciation Month? This national observance honors the dedication and service of local school board members who volunteer their time for crucial decisions in education, policy, and budget oversight. As a charter school, Lakes & Bridges is a 501(c)(3) organization with a Board of Directors that oversees major decision-making, strategic planning, and financial management. These individuals go through charter school board training at the state level, and they are experts in their fields-- our board members have been attorneys, real estate agents, bankers, property managers, business owners, accountants, educators, financial planners, and more.  They play a vital role in the success of our student innovators.

Many thanks to our current Board of Directors:
▪︎ G. Dial DuBose, Chair
▪︎ Nancy Linvill, Vice Chair
▪︎ Susie Dooley, Secretary
▪︎ Mackenzie Andrews, Treasurer
▪︎ Dan Bracken
▪︎ Nathan Clark
▪︎ Matt Henderson
▪︎ Svenja Martin
▪︎ Anne Williams

Thanks also to our former Board members, who are too numerous to name.

Because of the hard work and passion of all of these fine individuals, Lakes & Bridges operates as an innovative charter school serving the needs of children with dyslexia.
