Enrollment Process

Because we are an Alternative Education Campus (AEC), we can only accept children with a primary formal diagnosis of dyslexia/SLD or those children who struggle with reading, writing, and spelling, and have the characteristics of dyslexia.

Open Enrollment for rising grades 1-8 for the 2021-2022 school year begins January 1, 2021, and ends on February 15, 2021. The online application will be available on our website (https://www.lakesandbridges.org/enroll) starting January 1. After Open Enrollment ends, if there are more qualified applicants than spaces available, the lottery will be held mid-March.

Qualified students are those who complete the application process and have a primary diagnosis of dyslexia/SLD, an IEP that supports the primary disability being served as dyslexia/SLD, or the characteristics of dyslexia/SLD and/or have demonstrated the need for such specific services through (but not limited to) documentation in a formal evaluation, IEP, 504 plan, or documentation from previous schools that the student is not meeting grade-specific standards in literacy.

We will be giving tours on Wednesdays during the month of January when the students are not in the building due to asynchronous virtual learning. These tours will occur at 10:00, 11:00, 1:00, and 2:00. There will be limited slots available at each time period to keep physical distancing. Masks are mandatory in the building and must cover both the nose and mouth.

To sign up for a slot, please call the front office starting Monday, January 4, when we return after break, at 864-442-5580.
